"Murder's a real Slam-Dunk"

Films: Night of the Dribbler (1990)

Alias: Mr. Bates

Type: Natural

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Some people are WAAAY too into sports. Look, they're cool and all, but at some point, you just got to acknowledge that it's all just a game. It's certainly nothing to murder people over.

History: Meet the Watergate Plumbers. They're not exactly the best basketball team around. In fact, we'd go as far as to say that they're one of the worst. But that wasn't how Mr. Bates saw it. He loved playing on that team when he was young, but was devastated when his son Stan didn't make the cut. Now, he's killing all the kids who did manage to get a place in the team, all while disguised as a killer known as the Dribbler.

Notable Kills: Adds lacerating metal to the hoop to cut someone’s hands off, tosses a basketball-shaped bomb at someone, and locks a girl in a shower room releasing scalding water.

Final Fate: Eventually, two bumbling detectives figure out that Bates is the Dribbler, and have him promptly arrested after his failed assault on them with a chainsaw.

Powers/Abilities: None, though he does have basketball-bombs, it seems.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2-Credit where it's due, this guy has a lot of creativity on his hands. But that doesn't change the fact that his get-up is unendingly silly (if a bit off-putting), and when he isn't masked, he's always smoking that pipe of his. Bottom line, he's laughably evil.

Trivia: -This film didn’t get an official U.S. release until all the way in 2009.

-One of the worst NBA teams was the 2011-12 Charlette Bobcats, with a win-loss ratio of 7-59, and a history of injuries to rub salt in the wound.

"After this ball, I've got one with my victim's face drawn on it!"
How he managed to not smash his fingers despite that mask is beyond me.
"So, I could have just walked in here and killed you dead instantly? This school sucks."
The Green Goblin has nothing on this!
